Life thru the fog!

I LOVE these photos, although grainy and dark, taken at 11pm!  The fog was so thick!  After I carried Paige into bed I rushed back out to capture Ted and Taeya's walk...Bentley was ahead in the park...I missed him in the photos ;-(...can you hear their words, their whispers, their secrets...I can!   Can you see their love?  Fun in all this fog!!

I'm sure it would be just a good with tomatoes that were not previously frozen!   I loved the 'heartiness' of this soup....almost stew worthy ;-))    So flavourful!  So tasty!

What do you see?

Business is amazing!   THANK YOU!!   I do realize that not only am I behind on photos....but more importantly I have realized that my journalling has all together diminished!   I feel that when I finish a shoot I want to get a few photos up for the family, bride, or single gal, to see....but where are my words? where is my emotion?.....it is lost in the hustle and bustle of it all!!!   I love showing my photography, but if you are not in the room, not in the moment, not in the mindset of it all!!....Is it the same view??

What do you see?....do you see beautiful flowers, a glass of wine, a man playing his instrument, perhaps his passion?  A wife enjoying what she knows,  Plates on a wall, an I-phone capturing it all......  (I had to go back and write this....because none of this was in my fore front!)  

What do you see???     I see a life time of love, a lifetime of commitment, A lifetime of admiration, days of challenge, days of upset!   But most importantly a love that is everlasting!!!

I see worry on my Nan's face...worry that this life as she knows it is about to end,  I see an unknown...what will life hold now?  I SEE TRUE LOVE!!!

Look what I got!

Today, my bestie, Jes, made me a wonderful lunch!   Thank you!!!!

Our lunch started with crustinis with olive tapenade, next I was served cheddar cauliflower soup fresh off the stove, with an amazing whole grain bread sandwich, filled with tzatziki (Tony's cousin made) sprouts, cheddar cheese, fresh vine ripe tomatoes, and fine sliced black forest ham!!   YUMMMMMMMMY!!

For dessert I had chocolate pudding, served in a red chocolate bowl (handmade by Jes), accompanied by strawberries and a red chocolate moustache!   Which Jess has pics of and will post once she emails over for me!!!

The pics below are my gifts from my extremely talented 'nephew' Ty....he even picked out the strawberry body wash!!!

Tomato Soup!

I LOVE tomatoes,  so the amount that we are away, I have lots in the freezer!   When we leave I quarter tomatoes and freeze in siplock.   Last night I took them out of the freezer and let them defrost in the fridge.  Today I'm roasting with two heads of garlic, EVOO, and spices.  After oven roasting in the oven for over an hour I will add them to sauteed onions and add chicken broth, simmer for a couple of hours....then puree!   I can't wait!

Kelowna Mountain

Last weekend we ventured up to check out the new Kelowna Mountain.  We were informed that this is now the longest suspension bridge in North America...they were still working on it while we walked across...a little freaky!!  

Kelowna Mountain will be a snowboard park, ice rink, golf course, it will have a resort and much more!!  Check out their website at http://kelownamountain.com/

Dining Diva's 4

For the fourth dinner party in our group, it was Nancy's turn!  Did she spoil us....with tickets to the Gold Medal Plates competition of Canada.  We were spoiled with 10 plates from Canada's top chefs!  Each plate was paired with wine, there was so much to taste!!

After the competition was closed, we were escorted to our tables, where chocolate delights were awaiting with more wine.  Olympic stars of Canada took the stage, there was an auction, and then the medals were awarded!

The moon looks amazing right now!   I had to do these while holding the camera....so I'm hoping to get out tomorrow with a tripod!   and the girls!

Have you ever seen such an amazing sight?   It was 9pm...I was driving home from dinner and this is what I saw....I had to run home, grab my camera and capture....although I had the worst lens and no tripod....I thought I should still share..>What I Saw!!!!!!
