Taeya's 11th B-day Party

For Taeya's 11th birthday party we planned a glamour girl extravaganza with 'Fin'tastic's.   They have a whole glamour girl room, complete with stage lights and chairs, boas and costumes, make-up, hair, and nail stations.  Karaoke, pizza and drinks!!

We even got a video of the whole party!, Each girl got a photo of the fun and a new hairband/necklace. All of us had a great time!

Next we headed for the mall....I thought it would be a really fun idea to make the grab bag/parting gift a shopping experience at Claire's.  So each girl got to spend money on something they really wanted....The gifts/purchases ranged from glasses, to make-up, to shoes!  So fun!

Next we headed into the main part of the mall...heading towards the pick-up point, we stopped at the photo kiosk to get a 'very squishy' group photos, danced thru the mall and looked in empty store windows....our presence was very noticed!! ;-)))

Our final destination was Chapters where we lounged on the patio awaiting our final departure!

Thank you to all!   Taeya decided in lieu of gifts she would collect donations for Breast Cancer....and she is very pleased to announce that she raised $140.00!!!!     Taeya and I have also signed up for the Kelowna Breast Cancer run which will take place on September 30th, 2012....So please keep us in mind for your future donations!!

Easter Dinner Table

The Easter dinner table turned out great, soft yellows, greens, blues and pinks...for 15 of us!  We had two large hams, scalloped potatoes, broccoli in cheese sauce, brussel sprouts in bacon...and more!  

It was a great night filled with lots of laughter and love and Family!!!

Easter Egg Hunt

Jes, Melissa and I organized a hunt for all the kids.  We colour coded everything so it was fair, as the ages range quite a bit.  Each child had their own colour that would indicate the treat or gift was for them., we had a great time.   Jess made 'chick' eggs, and 'birds nest' cupcake...along with an amazing punch!   Thanks for all the treats.  Here is a few of the pictures!!

Easter Dinner Name Places

Tonight we are doing Easter Dinner,  I made the name tags out of dyed eggs...so cute!


Hand blow...or if you don't have time just hard boil and keep in fridge until just before dinner (this is what I did)  Then let eggs cool, and write names on with a white crayon.   Combine luke warm water, a little vinegar and food colouring (as many drops to get your desired vibrancy)   I added only 9 drops to the water, then placed the eggs in then I dropped in more food colouring just above the eggs, to get the slight design you see.  Pull out and place back in carton and fridge to dry in time for dinner!!!
