For our valentines day dinner I took my husband back to a few of our favourite dates...and food! Here is a look at the decor and the food!!
Hope you all had a great Valentines day!
Ted came home with this amazing bouquet.
First we started with smoked salmon, cream cheese, dill and chive pin wheels that we had at an amazing restaurant in Phoenix...Course number 2 was frozen Lychee's that we were served at TAO private beach club at the Venetian in Las Vegas...I served these with a chilled glass of champagne.
Course #3 was a tomato, bocconcini salad, with fresh basil and balsamic vinaigrette reduction drizzle, when we were in Little Italy, we had the most amazing version of this salad...they made the bocconcini table side in front of us!!
Course #4 - fresh Kusshi Oysters...that we fell in love with a Joe Fortes in Vancouver. I made a fresh mignonette sauce.
Course #5 was my first attempt at ceviche! It turned out amazing and will be in my entertainment go to dish from now on. This is a prawn ceviche, that we had when we were in Panama....so good! I served this in my new oyster glass dishes from KC.
Our main course was steak! We love steak at so many places...The Fixx in Kelowna has an amazing steak, that is like cutting through butter!
And finally My husband is a huge chocolate fan...however I'm not big on desserts at all, so a combination of fresh strawberry dipped and drizzled in belgian chocolate!
Such an amazing night!!
