Thanksgiving 2012

After finishing Jennifer and Terence's wedding in Pentiction, I got home around 1:30am!  I was packed a ready to head to Comox for Thanksgiving.  Ted and the girls were going to come but we ran into quite a few time constraint issues...with ferries, and school.  Taeya could not miss a test on the Tuesday so we decided it would be best if we didn't cram so much in!!!

Ted and the girls had an amazing Thanksgiving with Ted's side of the family!

I headed to Comox, with it being Thanksgiving, Mom's birthday, Nan's birthday and many more significant dates.   The first day all of us 'kids' were there we went to the beach, as many more cards and letters had come in so we wanted to read them together.  We decided to have a campfire and a picnic....like we used to do......

For Thanksgiving, we prepared a deep fried turkey ( a tradition, of course Dad, wanted to start)...however, all of the rest of us love the taste of deep-fried...but the smell of the oven cooked one...so we did both.   Dave and Uncle Scott did a great job of the deep fried turkey...Uncle Dave 'said' he helped too so wanted to jump in for a picture ;-))  xoxo

All us, ladies were inside doing all of the rest...Mom and Joy especially, the two of them created new dishes and we all decided on bringing back an oldie but a goodie 'the yorkshire pudding'  which Nan prepared, along with the onion sauce and dessert!

Such a great night!   Missing those who could not be there for sure though!!   XOXO
